Celebrating the Sacraments
The following brief information is provided to let you know
when we celebrate the sacraments at St. Augustine. If you have any
questions or need more details, call the Rectory.
Sacrament of
Baptism
Instructions for parents and godparents are held on the first Saturday
of the month at 10:00 a.m. in the Burke Wing. Please call the
Rectory to schedule a Baptism at least one month in advance. Baptisms are celebrated the second and fourth Sunday of the month
at 1:30 p.m.
Sacrament of Reconciliation
The Sacrament of Reconciliation is celebrated each Saturday
afternoon at 5:15 p.m. and anytime by appointment. For First
Reconciliation for a child,
contact Cathy Carlin at 410-796-8150.
Sacrament of Holy Eucharist
The Sacrament of Holy Eucharist is celebrated daily at the Holy
Sacrifice of the Mass. If you cannot get to church to attend Mass,
contact the Rectory to arrange a home
visit. For First Communion for a child, contact Cathy
Carlin at 410-796-8150.
Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick
Anyone who is planning to enter a hospital for surgery, or is
experiencing a prolonged and serious illness, or is very weak due
to the advancement of age, should call the Rectory and arrange for
the celebration of the Sacrament of Anointing the Sick.
Sacrament of Holy Matrimony
Arrangements for the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony must be made
with the Rectory at least SIX MONTHS before the wedding and before
any other plans are made. Diocesan regulations for the celebration
of the Sacrament are to be followed in the preparation for each
marriage.
